Infection from implant?

Google says I need antibiotics, but I've just started a new job and am out the house 7am til 7pm so can't go and see my gp.
Tried to phone out of hours for advice, but no ones answering.
Chemist reckons the longer I leave it, the more symptoms I will develop.

Really don't want to go sit in the walk in centre for ages to then be judged or feel like a time waster.

Has anyone had a bacterial infection? Did you need antibiotics to clear it?

If you've got an infection the only thing that will clear it up is antibiotics. If it's not treated it could turn into sepsis.

If you're worried it's not infected, ring 111 for advice.

Some medical sites say it can clear up on its own. Which contradicts some other sites.
