Wondering if anyone has a similar experience or might be an optometrist that can help with my over 40 vision issues!
In a nutshell, I am 44- been farsighted my whole life. ( patched as a kid), wore thick glasses as a young child and my right eye is amblyopic (20é80 uncorrected).Through my late teens, 20s and 30s I could get by without ever having to wear my glasses. Hit 40 and things started getting difficult up close and over 4 years I notice I am having trouble with distance now too so much so that I can't quite get by without my glasses full time and I hate it!
My last prescription was 2 years ago and recenty I have been having bad headaches, eyestrain and sore eyes everyday! For whatever reason, the current glasses have never felt great, everything feel so blaring in my eyes and yet I know I need a stronger reading prescription. The optometrist says I don't need progressives yet. I am so frustrated because I can't seem to find a comfortable state and it's really affecting me. I am so worried about how much further this is going to deteriorate.
I just bad a recent full eye health exam and everything is fine.
My current prescription is:
OD. Sphere +4.25. Cyl -1.25 axis 102
Is: sphere +2.5. Cyl -.75 axis 81
Any help appreciated.
