Vaginal lumps/bumps/spots

So I have these little lumps that crop up now and again, they'll start off as a sore spot and gradually become lump like and painful until they fill with pus and either burst of own accord or I squeeze them. I've had std tests as one doc I saw ages ago suggested it might be herpes. But no infections. They go once burst. But they just crop up on and off randomly. I've read that it could be follicitus but I don't shave anymore due to that risk. Just trim. Does anyone else get these? I'm quite a cysty person. I have a sebaceous cyst on my leg and have had two removed from my face. Don't I sound a beaut! Anyway, just hoping someone can help or relate. Got a docs app with a dermatologist as reported by nurse Tuesday to talk about it.

I thought small spots like that were quite common?!

I'm not sure. Does anyone else get them regularly?

I started with something similar about 2years ago, I noticed slight sharp pain when wiping. Would get the odd one every few months or so, sometimes in little crops. Mostly they go on their own, occasionally one will swell that much it bursts.

My doc thinks they are sebaceous cysts, a bit like acne. They seem to coincide with bursts of acne on my face and all seems to be linked to my cycle. It feels like I'm going through puberty again .......................but it's peri-menopause

They're so weird. Mine always end up pus filled and burst. I also get itchy after period. I had swabs taken ages ago but they found nothing g.

I get these. I think mine are usually ingrown hairs, they can be really nippy. I used to shave but now just trim.

It's ingrown hairs Hun, just buy a pair of exfoliating gloves they cost like a pound or two in Asda exfoliate regularly and they won't come back. But if u shave down there then that's probably why you have it. I started getting these not knowing why, then I started waxing asked the lady who waxed me she told me what it was. Trust me buy the gloves! They r soooo worth it!!!

Yes, ingrown hairs is quite unpleasant issue, especially in genital area. But there're some preventing and removal techniques I could recommend: exfoliation and hydration of skin before shaving, using a shaving gel instead of shaving cream, using hydrocortisone cream on affected areas, avoid too tight underwear, especially after shaving. You can also try some home remedies like aloe vera, aspirin, tea trea oil.

I get these too every now and again. They always go away so I no longer worry about them and I do think they’re ingrowinf hairs. I realised if I got a spot on my arm for a week and it went I wouldn’t panic..so have stopped worrying! Haven’t had one for a while though. I am also quite a ‘cysty’ person and have two benign ones in my boob and one on my shoulder. They’re all ‘internal’ but I think I am just prone to things like that! I’m 36 and think have only had them the last few years but I used to wax and now can’t be bothered and sometimes shave...so may just be that.
