How long was it after giving birth when you .........

...........had your first period? I'm starting to get concerned as havent had one yet and my ds is 6 months old??? I bf until almost 4 months so thought I would have had one by now? Not that I'm complaining just worrying something down there isnt right?

Need some reassurance please

Sixteen months after ds1 - exactly a month after I stopped bfing.

I got pg with DS2 when DS1 was 12 months and I had never had a period in that time.

Let that be a lesson to you! Keep up with contraception

6 weeks, then 2/3 weeks later then 5 months !

11 months each time. I breast fed for 8 months.

7 months each time (I haven't stopped bf yet )

just got it today , DS2 also just under 6 months, and I bf for 4 months as well.

9 mths both times (exclusively bfed for 5 and 6 months)

6 weeks after starting solids both times, so at 6m after ds1 and at 7m after dd. However I had been mix-feeding ds1 and had stopped breast completely by then, whereas dd was still fully breastfed when I started my periods.

DS born early May, stopped breast feeding two months later and periods started end of Aug (just when I was on holiday and was going to a wedding - just what I didn't need!!!!!!)

9 months each time (have 4 children) - I hadn't stopped breastfeeding with any of them at that stage.

8 months then 3 weeks earlier with each successive child. Bf for 8m-12m with each but didn't affect it!

I stopped bf both of mine at 4 weeks and didn't have a period until they were about 16/17 weeks.

Mine came back the week before I stopped breast feeding, ds was 6 months

4 - 6 weeks after stopping bf; DS1 stopped at 7 mths. DS 2 didn't stop until 20 mths, but my periods did not return until he was nearly 22 mths!
