Routine referral

I had a pelvic scan early in December. This was to check the thickness of my womb lining as I am on long cycle HRT.

They said at the scan that everything was fine.

I have now just had a voicemail from my GP saying as a result of the scan the gynaecologist wants to see me so the GP is doing a "routine referral".

Needless to say, I am worried sick.

Does anyone know what is meant by a routine referral?

Sorry you are worried. I'm not sure but I would think a routine referral would be non urgent so try not to worry.
