DS (15) vomited violently, 4 times so far since 1 am last night.

Shivery, feeling horrible. But no diarrhoea.

Luckily there's only 2 of us at home at the moment. Told him to only use the one bathroom, which is next to his bedroom, and I will use the guest one.

What else can I do to minimise the chances of me catching it?

Going to wash down the bathroom with bleach, but seems a bit pointless until after the vomiting stops.

And boil wash his sheets - again after vomiting stops.

What else can I do?

Seems like you've got it pretty much covered!

I'd ban him from the kitchen until he stops vomiting and wipe kitchen surfaces, door handles and light switches with bleach.

Make sure you wash your hands really well before eating or preparing food.

Hope he feels better soon!

It's gone through me and the kids this past week. I have dettol wiped everything, door and cupboard handles, taps, one has a metal bed so that too. Hot wash on pjs and sheets, own towel etc. Bannister too and stairgates , they always have their grubby mitts on them.

Well despite thoroughly cleaning everything, I've got it now. DS seems to have bounced back very quickly though.
