Leg pain - what could it be?

I'm 40, not overweight. I've been putting off a visit to the GP but for months now I've had a constant ache down my left leg. It starts in my hip and runs down my thigh and shin. Quite a dull pain but constant - and of course I immediately conclude it's bone cancer. Any ideas?

Sounds more like sciatica.

SpeckledyBanana · 16/12/2016 20:29

I thought sciatica too. GP?

MakeTeaNotWar · 16/12/2016 20:31

Yes I'll make a gp appointment. I think sciatica goes down back of leg though and this is down the front

Do you do a lot of exercise?

It might be that your IT band is tight and needs stretching/rolling.

You can sciatica down the front.

Also check for any hard areas. In case of clots.
