Can anyone talk me down?

Just been to see GP re: itchy mole over my spine that I think has grown and definitely has a halo. She's referred me to specialists at local hospital.

I have a 3 month old and know that melanoma is much more frequent in pregnant women/ 1 year after birth.

Am terrified I a) have cancer and b) am going to die and leave my baby.

I know it's probably nothing but cant help but think the worst... Any words of wisdom or anyone who can slap me out of it? Can't talk about fears to DP really, as he's a bit of a panicker and don't want to upset him....

I have 2 of these both with halos. Reviewed in my 20's by a specialist and was fine. It has changed with each of my three pregnancies, but never been a problem when examined. I think it is the hormones. It also itches because it is rubbed by my bra strap.

GP reviewed recently and says it looks okay, but took a picture to compare with at the next appointment just to be cautious. Try not to worry, I have had mine for 15 years and they have been okay this far.

Had severe health anxiety in late teens which has thank god, long not been an issue - but the new mum hyper emotional state making this a bit difficult to chill out about

I have got a mole with a halo and it's never grown or given me any problems.

I have also had fifteen moles removed over the years. Some of them were dark and deep but all turned out to be benign.

Some people are just more moley than others.
