Coming off contraceptive injection

What are your experiences of coming off it?

I've been on it for a decade, partially as I had horrendous periods and because of family medical history this was the only method of hormonal contraception that suited. (Risks were most definitely not mentioned!)

DH and I decided to TTC and I had my last injection in July.

I've since had one "period" - very light and more brown than red. Is that normal?

Yes normal. It's common to not get your cycle back for a while.

I became pregnant 12 months after the last injection with both my children.

Periods never came back 8 years after last injection.

Think everyone is different of course

Took me 8 years to conceive

It took me two years to have a period. I think it really varies.
