I posted here a few weeks ago terrified about an upcoming laparoscopy to remove a dermoid ovarian cyst. Anyway, just to summarise, thank you so much for your support - the surgery went really well. It wasn't scary at all (the pre med helped!) and they managed to keep both ovaries. They ended up removing two cysts and minor endometriosis which I didn't know I had.
Anyway, the surgery was 2.5 weeks ago and whilst I feel loads better, my next period is due tomorrow. I'm so worried because I've heard horror stories about the first one after being "the period from hell"! I've just returned to my very busy job and I'm worried how i'll cope. I mean, how bad is it? I have visions of flooding through my clothing or something! 
Any anecdotes / advice much appreciated. I've packed my bag with codeine and maxi pads but still I'm scared.
