Migraine?!

Just over the last year or so id say, I've started to become quite a headachey person
Used to occasionally get visual migraines without the headache when I was in my teens but then nothing since.
I now have frequent headaches that are almost always on the left side, start behind my left eye/forehead and into the temple, sometimes down to the back of my head.
Laying still and closing my eyes helps and taking ibuprofen takes the edge off. Warm baths also. Sometimes feel a bit nauseous with them but not significantly so.
They tend to start late in the day then go on through to the next day.
Does this sound like migraine?

Yep, sound like migraines. So you get a 'hangover' type feeling for a few days after the headache?

I used to get them on my left temple too, apparently this means there's stress on your liver.

Acupuncture really helped mine.

Migraines affect everyone in a different way, but laying still and it going away does not sound very common in my experienc mod migraine sufferers. That is not to say it is not migraine, Possibly these headaches could be caused by stress, blood pressure, or a misalignment in your neck. Please don't self diagnose. A visit to your GP, blood tests and/or X-ray will get to the cause.

Literally last week I had severe neck pain down to my shoulder and I felt like someone had whacked my right hand side of my face with a cricket bat, my sinuses hurt when I moved my head, and I felt like I was having electric shocks when I stood up/sat down. I went to the doctors and low and behold I've got bloody high blood pressure! I'm shocked! He blames the pill I'm on, so I'm off the pill and taking medication and I'm starting to feel better already. I did honestly think I was having a migraine as loud noises hurt as did bright lights!!

Thanks for your replies - I'm currently headache free. Am keeping a little diary to see if I can work out any triggers.
I've had blood tests in last few months that were normal.
Buster - I am also on the pill - Femodette ... I wonder if it may be the case here too

I had to come off the pill and onto the mini pill due to migraines.
I'm now off contraception and my migraines are getting worse.
I do have triptan meds to take when it starts that help sometimes.

I find I can't speak or type properly and I get horrible nausea.

Go see your GP op.

It's been been 3 days now since I stopped taking the contraceptive pill and been on blood pressure pills, I feel exhausted and I'm now on a blood pressure pill morning and night rather than just morning, I went back to the docs and my blood pressure has lowered slightly. He took bloods too to check cholesterol....feeling very worried as I'm only 38 and in the top range of ok BMI! I feel so old and out of shape! I've got Crohn's too so my health is totally and utterly f..ked!!!!
