I've had severe abdominal pain for about a month now. I've seen a gastroenterologist who has done bloods, ultrasound and calprolectin levels.
Everything was fine except for calprolectin levels, which came back positive. I was on Omeprozole which may have distorted this though.
I had a sigmoidoscopy in August 2015 for bleeding (turned out to be haemarroids) and a full endoscopy and colonoscopy in 2013 for abdominal pain which turned out to be a duodenum ulcer.
Now this pain is severe. Moves around - but mainly upper abdomen and sides. Bad when lying down and wakes me up at night and sitting down.
A lot better after eating and standing up.
I'm seeing the gastroenterologist on Monday, but wondering if anyone has suffered similar and how did you get better.
I've lost about 2 kg over the last 3 weeks because I can't really eat and feel nauseous.
I can't recall the duodenum ulcer being this painful so hoping that it isn't anything serious and can't be cancer given the number of tests over the last few years?
