18 mnth red rash on upper arm-hot to touch-help?

discovered a red patch on ds upper arm last night,quite big and very hot to the touch. he flinches a little when you touch it. is no better this morning. Any ideas as it is worrying me.shall i take him to the out of hours gp?

Agreed - call your GP surgery to get the out of hours number, you may need to speak to NHS Direct anyway to get through to the out of hours place. Have you done the glass test on the skin?
