Almost all symptoms of thyroid problems....

Hi, so recently I've been diagnosed with alopecia areata, and they did blood tests for thyroid problems, I have almost all symptoms for it, but my blood results have come back as normal. It's strange as now I feel deflated as I have no reason for why I'm like this now. Any one else experienced this or have had any alternative tests?

Never believe anyone who tells you your results are 'normal'. That may just mean they have come back inside the reference range. Ask your GP for a copy of your blood test results (it's your data, so you're fully entitled) and see what they really say. Look for anything that's come back at one or other end of the reference range, or anything flagged by the lab that the GP forgot to mention (it happens).

If you have one auto immune disease, you are statistically more likely to pick up others, so you could well have a thyroid problem. Lots of good advice and a full list of symptoms on the ThyroidUK website.

Thank you, I will ask for a copy of my resultS. I thought there was a little glimmer of hope that I'd get an answer for all the symptoms I have and now I feel like it's just some and I'll always be like this now.
Thanks again for your reply x
