Perimenopausal??

For the last 6 months Ive had 2 periods in a month - my periods are really light and short since I had the mirena removed over a year ago, they were usually about 5 days but now about 3 days in length and really light.
After the 'main' period I have another bleed about 2 weeks later?? This has never happened before.
I do tend to be very hot at night and have had some night sweats recently.
I'm nearly 38 thankfully I have 2 DDs. Ive rang the doctors but cant get an appointment until after Xmas.
I keep being forgetful and confused and quite emotional at times..
Do you think it could be peri menopause??

Sounds like it, yes. I use a supplement - Menopace - not had any night sweats for months now.

Very much sounds like peri menopause to me. Last year I had period then five weeks of bleeding two days per week. After internal investigations was told peri menopause. All return to normal until last month , no period and hot in bed and waking up to 5 times a night with it, for last four weeks. Going to GP tomorrow hopefully to check it's nothing else but am thinking it's peri m. Have hot flushes during day too. Am 45. Did your mum or grandmothers go through early menopause go you know? If so, it's more likely you will too.

Not too mention ridiculous forgetfulness and just inability to concentrate! Confused

Thanks does that mean my fertility is over? I'm not sure about my family history as not in contact with my mother.
I keep forgetting words mid sentence.. its so frustrating!!

No, a consultant gynaecologist told me you can still get pregnant during peri-menopause. Once you have come through it and are in menopause (no periods for 12 months or more) you are no longer able to get pregnant.

Same here, forgetting what I was saying, can't think if the right word(S) fit things. So annoying. Am going to give menopace a go as am sick of waking up all night!!
