DS has a broken leg and is suffering terribly during the evenings and night-times from itching under his cast 
. GP advised over-the-counter antihistamines, and we tried 2 different types, neither of which helped at all, so I went back to the GP, who prescribed another one called hydroxyzine hydrochloride. DS has been on the maximum dose of 2x25g tablets for 3 days now but the itchng persists with a vengeance. Can anyone advise, please? It's horrible to see him so miserable and struggling to settle to sleep at night...
