Really smelly flatulence

Sorry. I've had the most horrible flatulence for a couple of weeks now it smells toxic. I'm worried I've got a bug or something. Could this be a gut problem?

Giardia?

Giardiasis? (same thing)
but you would probably know if you had had that.

I've had the runs on and off too but put that down to coming on my period. How would I know Brat?

I have been on holiday this year and have two young children so probably around lots of bugs

OK so I think I have had this recently.
It started with feeling slightly nauseous, an explosive shit, and stomach cramps. Followed by yellow shit that floated, and more diarrhoea. The only way to improve things has been to cut out dairy. Horrible stinking farts.
Have a google.

Try some Probiotics

and when i say cut out dairy , that means biscuits and cakes as well.
I had one little coffee biscuit that sent me into a vile relapse....(TMI I know)

I've had that poo too, Brat. I don't want to give up dairy or biscuits, I have nothing else it's only recently and not after having tea or coffee or dairy hence why I was thinking a bug .

I take probiotic from h&b acidophilus?

try giving up dairy. I did not want to either because i drank a lot of milk in tea and on it own, and loved toast slathered with butter, biscuits, fruit yogurts etc., but it has been the only way for me to get better....

The yellow poo that doesn't flush? gross...

Honestly have a google around giardiasis, obviously I am not a doctor so you will have to self diagnose...

I really don't think it sounds like giardiasis. I had it a few months ago (DH brought it back from Ethiopia) and ended up in hospital. It will make you too weak to do anything (other than shit. Constantly). The poo will be greenish rather than yellow, and kind of greasy

Hope you work out what's wrong soon though. Might be an idea to see your GP if it doesn't resolve soon, as it does sound like a food intolerance. Maybe keep a food diary so you can see if there is any pattern?

Gah! I really would hate to give up tea coffee and cakes tbh. I've v slim and need calories. I eat healthy and love veg and stuff but I also love treats. I'm going to my gp soon anyway so will mention it though, thank you
