Help!
I'm a relatively fit and healthy 26 year old woman. I work full time and spend it on my feet all day. There can be a lot of walking involved at times.
I've never had issues with my ankles before (never broken either ankles) but in the last 3 months my left ankle gives way and I cannot put weight on it.
It's only ever the left ankle and usually it happens when I walk down the stairs. Although it occasionally happens when I get up from sitting down or just out walking.
Today, I was crossing a road when it gave way and had to limp the rest of the way across. After 5 minutes, it was ok to put wait on it again. Usually it's only painful for a couple of minutes.
Any suggestions on what could be causing it? Or how I can prevent it from happening again?
Would an ankle support of some kind help? I did google them, but there are quite a few different ones and I have no experience using them.
Off to work now, but I'll check back later.
