Have had to take a day off. Sitting at home with hot water bottle, sipping peppermint tea. Confused

Ah that's rough. Is it normally well controlled. Sounds like you are doing the right thing.

MollyHuaCha · 02/12/2016 11:27

Lilybensmum1 · 02/12/2016 11:35

Wow wannabee that's really tough, so you are still managing to work? Hope you both feel better and tomorrow bring some relief for you both. It's such a horrible disease.

MollyHuaCha · 02/12/2016 11:39

Wannabee, you sound worse than I am! You should go home too. Tell the management I said so! Unless you are the management...🙃

I work for a very understanding boss and have been here a long time. I love work tbh and I relish nnot being sat at home or in hospital.
I will be glad to get the buggars out though :}

I feel for all you who are suffering, I've got the bastard Crohn's too and it's a horrible horrible disease. I hope it settles down soon.

MollyHuaCha · 02/12/2016 20:35

Any time Molly!

ElizaDontlittle · 03/12/2016 04:17

I hope you start feeling better over the weekend Molly. I too have Crohn's and an ileostomy, and the new medication is making me pretty nauseous. Slowly plodding on at work. It's tough. Gentle (hug) and recover quickly. Flowers

MollyHuaCha · 04/12/2016 15:31

Hi Eliza. Hope your nausea settles soon. I find ginger really helpful - I peel and slice fresh ginger root and make 'tea' with it, adding by slices of lime. Or just use teabags if I want to make it more easily.

Appreciate yr support. I have an Infliximab infusion booked for Thurs. I'll feel better next weekend!

Just a little update... I was feeling pretty low when I went in for my Infliximab yesterday. Felt a little bit better this morning and loads better by this evening. As always it's working like a dream. I'm so lucky to be prescribed this amazing medicine because it's really expensive. Have a great weekend if you read this! SmileFlowersXmas Wink

Hi Molly. I am hoping to start that drug after surgery fingers crossed :)

MollyHuaCha · 09/12/2016 21:04

Wannabe, sounds like you are suffering I really hope your surgery goes well (is it soon?). Infliximab comes with a miserable list of possible side effects. But for those it works for, it's astonishingly good. Not long to go till the school holidays for you. Thanks for teaching when you don't feel yr best (somehow I think you still do it well) - have a good rest at Xmas x

That's lovely Molly :) really cheered me up. I have one school week and two and a half days to go..... not long!!
I have a stomal tumour that's four and a half stone and a tiny one on my adrenal gland (15mm). Having bowel mapping after xmas then surgery by May. I need to lose some weight as was on 100mg a day of steroid and they told me honestly I would die if they took
Me in now. Have had lots of resections and all my viable bowel is outside the stomach wall. I live on a diet of codeine and loperamide :(
Surgeon at st marks is fab though. Glad you feel better. I had a vitamin Jab in the week and feel better for it. Am always so low as have short bowel too.

MollyHuaCha · 09/12/2016 22:32

I'm at St Marks too under Dr Nightingale. Live 120 miles from it though so it's a bit of a day's outing when I go there.
