I started with a cold sore on Monday last week, sore in the evening then huge swelling on Tuesday morning. I've never had one before so had no idea what to do.
A friend recommended compeed patches which worked really well, no icky scabs or messystem stuff and I felt better with the kids around. But I took one off yesterday and it stuck to the hair on my top lip and really hurt. So now I have a very sore, red top lip but no blister or anything. My lip is very dry and scaly, and itchy but how do I know if it's cold sore or very chapped lip / skin above my lips?
