I watched her running into nursery today and her right leg turns so far in from the hip I'm surprised she didn't fall flat on her face!
I've not bothered about is so far, as I think until they are about 4 this is quite normal - but am wondering now if I should get it checked out.
Any opinions?

dd has had the same to the extent she tripped herself over in the playground. gp referred her for assessment at that age. The orthopaedic surgeon assessed her as being within tolerance(something like 10-15o inturn ) with no problems of the hip or foot itself so no intervention necessary. Worth doing for peace of mind and dd's has become less pronounced in the year since although it is still more so in certain types of shoe like wellies.

That's interesting - dd had slight hip dysplasia as a baby, but was not treated (they forgot to send a follow up letter!) but a scan at around 4 months showed the hips were normal - but I've always got this nagging doubt about it.
