Illness after tooth extraction

I had a tooth removed on Tuesday that had an abscess. Didn't feel too bad that evening but woke up Wednesday feeling tired and sick. I went to work but soon came home and went to bed and slept on and off all day and night.

I still feel sick and tired and my joints ache. Is this because of the tooth removal? Has anyone else had this?

This is unusual to feel this unwell post-extraction. Particularly if you don't have any residual oral pain or infection. Is your face swollen at all? Any general health issues? Heart etc? Infective endocarditis is a very rare condition to be aware of. Don't be alarmed but maybe go to GP for a physical check if no better.

Thank you for the reply Mulberry. After a couple days off work and rest I feel much better.
