Hi all

Apologies as this maybe TMI but I need help and my docs can't offer me an appointment until Monday.

Since Friday evening my lady parts have been stinging whenever I wee and wipe myself. They are not itchy or anything like that and from what I've seen don't seem red or inflamed. I have had a bit more discharge than usual but it's perfectly normal other than a bit more.

What could this be, I don't think it's thrush from what I've read but then I had thrush when I was pregnant and I didn't even realise!

I have an appointment for the go on Friday but don't think I can wait that long. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all

Sounds like cystitis. Visit the pharmacy, they should have something you can take over the counter. Keep really hydrated and many people swear by cranberry juice too.

Uti?

Have you got a fever? Are you peeing more than normal? Trip to the GP would be sensible.

If it's really stingy you could poor warm water over yourself while you pee, it might help?

Pour!! Not poor!

No I don't have a fever, I'm not sure if I am peeing more than usual I spend half the day peeing anyway after 3 kids and a weak pelvic floor!

I will up my fluid intake and send dh out to get cranberry juice for me and maybe send him to the chemist for me tomorrow morning hopefully it will ease it until I can get to the docs on Friday.

Thanks for your suggestionsourcing I have been googling 'stingy vagina when peeing' and drawing a blank. Knew I could count on the wisdom of mumsnetters. Grin

Try weeing in the bath and making sure you dry yourself thoroughly.
Smother your bits in sudocreme. That cures every condition known to man (well almost)

rhuhbarb4 · 21/11/2016 20:02

Ooh weeing in the bath I'm actually data in the bath now! It reminds me of having stitches after giving birth.

Sudocrem the miracle cure for everything hadn't even thought of that.

I wish I was half as wise as some of you.
