A few weeks ago i had vertigo (got tablets off doc) hadnt been ill or anything so not sure how that came about, it is still there but not as bad.

My concern is for the past few weeks i seem to wake up with bad pins and needles in my feet and hands, also throughout the day i get tingling in my feet hands and back of my neck...up to 12 times per day, even when moving around and walking.

18 mths ago i had a troublsome 6 months, i was getting attacks which the left side of my body went numb and i was very confused (couldnt speak properly) these have since gone (taking betablockers to control) but now have these new symptoms

Anyone any experience? i am 26 btw and no other health probs.

pucca you know you have to go to the docs don't you

Carmenere · 14/02/2007 12:29

You must go to the doctors. No one on here can say anything to stop you worrying but maybe the gp can.

dejags · 14/02/2007 12:30

I don't know anything about your symptoms Pucca.

Just wanted to say, book in at the Docs and get this investigated soon. It may be something, it may be nothing - anything that's gone on for this long deserves a good look.

Good luck.

I know i need to go, i just hate going docs though, the thing i am most bothered about is they had booked me for a heart scan last year (to check the arteries of the heart) and i didnt go (i know i am a d**k).

Pins and needles is to do with circulation isnt it? or nerves, it is just like my attacks i was having..the tingling is like pins and needles but different to when you have sat on your leg iykwim.

Don't try to guess and don't google your symptoms, just lift the phone and ring for an appointment.

pucca · 14/02/2007 12:58

Thanks for replying.

Anyone else had this?

could be anemia or thyroid probs with those symptoms (both usually treated relatively easily) - a similar-ish scenario happened to me when I was anemic, but also other things I couldn't hazard a guess at. Hope you get sorted out soon.

simoncowellsunderpants · 14/02/2007 21:54

You need to go to your dr. it could be anxiety related chronic hyperventilation can cause these symptoms or it could be something else that needs further investigation but my money is on anxiety!
You should always be able to get an emergency appt on the day you call at the end of surgery - demand this. Failing that go to a and e.

Ok well i am going to see doc tomorrow, and still pretty scared, still getting the tingling in my hands, feet and back of neck...i also still have the vertigo slightly, not as bad as before but def still there, really terrible in the dark, losr all sense of direction and balance, and my feet don't seem to go where i want them to.

Just thought i would bump this again, in the hope that someone has been here and can advise me...sh**ing myself tbh.
