Can you get food poisoning from a Pot Noodle? My brother had one last night and he is really sick today

I'd be very surprised if some dried noodles could make somebody that sick

sonlypuppyfat · 14/11/2016 13:49

I wouldn't have thought so, maybe he picked it up from not washing his hands or touching something dodgy

TupsNSups · 14/11/2016 13:50

Norovirus?

Mol1628 · 14/11/2016 13:50

It might have disagreed with him. Not food poisoning though.

BishopBrennansArse · 14/11/2016 13:51

Unlikely.

Sensitivity to MSG? Otherwise Noro is doing the rounds...

KittyMG · 14/11/2016 14:36

I thought about norovirus, but he's not sick enough for that. Could be a sensitivy to MSG as we/he never eat pot noodles 😟

I have just had a chicken and mushroom pot noodle and I've just experienced hot and cold flushes and vomiting when trying to sleep.
I know bird flu is going around the chickens causing food poisoning the chickens affected are distributed to kfc tgi Friday and nandos but didn't think pot noodles were affected

Mol1628 · 31/01/2023 07:18

There’s no chicken in those pot noodles 🤣

Anominous · 31/01/2023 22:18

I know its flavouring otherwise it wouldn't say chicken and mushroom but doesn't explain why people are getting ill

they’re labelled as being suitable for vegetarians - there’s definitely no bird flu in it!
