CFS in Birmingham area

Any experience of CFS treatment in Birmingham (asking for a friend)? We've seen there's a specialist clinic in the Neuropsychiatry department (which sounds ominous) in one of the Birmingham hospitals, but has anyone been seen by a consultant? Anything we should know about how they approach treatment/management? How long are waiting lists, that kind of thing?

TIA

After my own experience, my first question would be" Does your friend really have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" or does she have something that is easily treated, like vitamin B12 deficiency, vitamin D deficiency or thyroid disease?

I had all three of those when I was diagnosed with CFS in 2010. I'm fine now.

Your friend really does need to ask some serious questions before she goes down this route.

Good points Please, I'll check when I next speak to her. I had assumed that anything else would have been ruled out before diagnosis, but as I've had to fight to get that kind of thing ruled out for myself, that was probably a bit stupid of me Blush
