I have awful hacking cold - I feel like I m going to bring up blood soon - baby now got it too - help?

Anyone got any suggestions. Have had this for 5 days. Flu also. My cough is chesty and tickley - I have sneezeed about 300 times today - my nose is red raw. My chest is so sore I feel like I am going to start bringing up blood. Takingf benelyn, lemsip, paracetamol - nothing seems to help. Must go and see doctor tomorrow - no sleep at all last night. Any ideas what might help tonight? baby not as bad but similar - have bought vapouriser for room today. Any advice? Can't stand this any more.

Go to the GP I had this last week and had to have anitbiotics feeling much better now.

just getting out the other side of something v similar, dh and dd had it too, im sure we kept the neighbours up coughing all night, my practice nurse reckoned it was viral so had to wait it out

gave dd tixylix cough syrup as only one i could find for under ones, and one or two doses of calpol and put childrens olbas oil on her babygrows at night

i took calpol and medised (couldnt be bothered to get grown up meds when i felt shitty) and piled on vit c but i think it was breathing steam that made most difference but hard to do with baby crawling about

get better soon, hope one of those thing helps
