My mum wants eyelid surgery

I have just got off the phone and she has just let me know she is going to have eyelid surgery. What are the pitfalls of the surgery and if she still decides to go ahead, how do you go about finding a decent surgeon? Any help much appreciated.

My mum's had her eyes and face done. She found the best reccommendations from her GP. He put her in touch with a surgeon and from there my mum checked her credentials etc and spoke to a couple of her patients who had agreed to be contacted.

I had my eyes done and was the best thing I ever did-easy peasy-in and out,no pain and I had it done under a local/twilight anaesthetic.Had my hair cut the same week and people just kept remarking on how "well" I looked.

where did you get it done? My mum is south east/London area?
She has ridiculously high blood pressure and I am worried about the anasthetic risks for her.
Whooooosh, how did you go about finding your surgeon?

if her bp is very high then any reputable place would not go ahead with the procedure. My mum too has high bp, though it was borderline when she had the op. It was 140/90 and the surgeon wanted to wait half an hour to see if it lowered. It did and op went ahead, though it wouldn't if it hadn't!

Incase it's of any use, my mum went to the Nuffied in Enfield - North London and was thrilled with her treatment/outcome.
