Nickel allergy and watches. Any advice?

Dh bought me lovely watch for xmas. I have always had slight reaction to nickel, but usually solve problem by swapping wrists.

However this watch is very close fitting, and doesn't have one of those films on the back of it to prevent allergy. I now have it on both wrists, and can't wear it at all.

Any advice about what I can puy on back of watch to stop it causing it? I thought about clear nail varnish. It wasn't cheap either!

Glue a bit of fabric ( felt for example) on to the back, also painting the back with clear nail varnish helps some people.
