Desperately worried about DD2 (10 years) - congenital hypothyroidism and has developed a goitre. Consultant says she needs isotope scan and will have to come off thyroxine for 14 days beforehand. Anyone with any experience of this - as an adult or with a child? What will be impact of no thyroxine for that long? Will she cope at school? Will she feel unwell? Consultant is useless with regards to communication skills.

Sorry, I don't know about that, only the common adult stuff. If you don't get any useful replies you might want to repost under childrens health with a bit more detail in the title.

Hope you do get some help.
