Bit of advice and support needed if you don't mind. About 2yrs ago I went to the gp - because I was sore "down there" he didn't do a thing no examine or anything. Just referred me to a specialist as I had private health. The consultant took one look and declared "cold sore" I was surprised as I didn't realise you could get cold sores other than on the mouth. But she said you can get them anywhere on your body. I've always suffered from cold sores since I was about 3 or 4. When I'm run down or stressed they'd break out. Now, I don't tend to get them on my lips now but do get outbreaks down below now. To be honest I didnt ask the consultant didn't ask any questions, I went home and googled instead.
To be honest I'm still mortified, it's taken me 2 yrs to come on here and talk about it. How do I know if it's caused through cold sores or an std? Or which strain of the virus it is? Does it matter? I've been in a monogamous marriage for 13yrs now. Why has this virus suddenly changed direction started appearing in my bits? I'm suffering an outbreak now.. been a busy week (interviews, late nights, normal family comings and goings) and I feel shattered and my back is aching. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated
