My eye was twitching for about a week and my eyes felt sore and dry

I went to the opticians who did a full check up. Said I may have jabs an infection though everything was ok now except very dry eyes

He gave me optrex for infected eyes drops. Started then 2 days ago

About 5 mins ago out of no where there was a blurred spot in my vision

It's grown and my eye sight is about 50% blurred.

All around the edges of the blurrwd is colourful and moving

I'm really scared

Should I get migrane meds from the GP incase it starts again?

I've always head migranes but this was the first ocular one. Headache only started after the eye aura

Sound like an ocular migraine. Mine start with fuzz in the middle of my vision and move to zigzags at the side. No pain, just weird vision for 30 mins or so. I don't think it's an A&E job personally, call your Dr if you're worried.

Oops. X post with the update. Glad you're ok.

I had a spate of occular migraines at the same time as recurrent chalazion. I never asked (because sometimes I am just not very bright) but I do wonder if the increased pressure caused by the chalazion contributed to the occular migranes? And if so, whether whatever was going on in your eye beforehand may have played a role in your migraine?

I have suffered from migraines for years but when I had my first ocular one I went into panic mode. I thought I was having a stroke. A work college gave me one of her tablets which if you take it straight away can stop it. This probably didn't help me in the panic I was having as I was then worried about the medication but it did help and I got my own prescription for them.

Do we have an update from the OP?

Here is good advice..if you suffer ANY sudden loss of vision, a dark or grey area, flashing lights especially when your eyes are closed,a sudden spider like pattern in your vision then it is imperative that you visit an emergency eye clinic immediately to be checked out. If you are in London go to Moorfields, if near Manchester to to the Royal Eye hospital,,if anywhere else, go to your local big A&E or specialist eye centre. DO NOT delay, go to your GP. If you can get an emergency appointment with an optometrist then that may be an option but im talking same day appointment, not next week.
