Threadworm meds

Hello.

Currently needing a bit of a handhold. I have threadworm.

I know it's not a big thing but it's making me feel vile.

We've all had the meds. I've done the obsessive cleaning thing.

It's three days on and I still have them.

Can I take another dose?

I think the box for this says give it a week or so. Have you checked what yours says? You're not dirty, it's just part of life. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Yes you can take another dose.

My DD was prescribed a dose twice a day for three days repeated two weeks later.

We don't think she had them but she had stomach problems and the paediatrician wanted to rule them out.

They are grim but part of life I'm afraid.

I was googling yesterday, as ds1 (and I think I...) have the same thing. Apparently they tend to be a problem in October. We stopped itching after 3 days.

I know it's not a big thing. I have health anxiety and I think that's making things worse. It's the sensation of them. It's just totally freaking me out!

Ilove - was it 5ml of Ovex that she was allowed to repeat?

Never knew it was an October thing, interesting. We have them in our house and I assumed it was because school is back and the worms are beginning to find new homes through the classroom jungle.

I have heard a few people say the October thing. Ugh! I'm still struggling to get rid but I think I've turned a corner today.
