Why dont I ever have "a healthy" glow, despite living a healthy(ish) lifestyle?

Im 37, happilly married, two children, stay at home Mum. I get a good nights sleep every night, drink plenty of water, I dont live on junk food or buy ready meals, cant say I get proper regular exercise but do walk children too school every day. But Ive got dark circles under my eyes, look pale (I am 5'9 and 9st 3ish) and my skin is blemished and never looks even. Is this just how I am and its whats on the inside that counts or does the outside tell a story? just wondered. I look at other people and they just always look healthy, their eyes sparkle and their skin looks great. Its a bit of the green eyed monster I guess.....I want to be like that...how can I. Ive got cellulite too so skinny people dont get away with it. Im depresseda about my appearance today...can you tell.

dark circles under the eyes can be genetic or a sign of tiredness or a lack of a certain B vitamin I think.

Skin uneveness - someone on here might be able to help you with.

Looking pale can be a sign of a lack of certain vitamins I think and can be a sign of anemia or just general exhaustion!

HOw about takinga mulitvitamin and trying to get in a 10 minute walk every day. And maybe someone can give you advice on skin care that would make your skin look more even.

Others their eyes sparkle etc cos they know all the tricks already

get your hair cut (and maybe coloured?), and put a bit of make up on!

Try the Optimum Nutrition Bible by Patrick Holford (I am a big fan of PH as some may have already noticed!)

Are you getting enough essential fats: omega 3s and 6s? Try grinding linseeds and having a tbsp on your cereal or in yogurt, and mix pumpkin, sesame and sunfower seeds together in a jar and then grind a tbsp of that each day too. Eat avocados or almonds or brazil nuts.

I would also recommend a good multivitamin (sanatogen Gold A-Z is good)

I think 9st 3 at 5ft 9 is too low. It gives you a BMI of 19 which is only just inside healthy. I am sure you are not starving yourself but maybe you are not getting enough nutrients without realising?
