I have a tiny pin prick sized black mole which has recently appeared ,my other moles are brown . Would I be justified in booking a GP appointment so they can look at it ?

In my experience doctors would rather have a quick look at a mole than you leaving it.

You have reminded me, I need to get mine checked...I must have about 100 snd the ones on my back are so awkward to see.

I know I have one on my back and I need to really turn my head to see it thanks I will make an appointment to get it seem to

Yes - two risk factors as it is new and it is very dark. Of course it is far more likely to be benign but you need a qualified person to check.

I would rather get it checked out now when it's very small than let it get big and possibly more dangerous was really hoping it was just a spot but doesn't seem to be budging

Yes go now, I have had a few dodgy moles removed but they turned out to be ok, but if it is not you have gone nice and early. A relative had a melanoma removed a few years ago and has had no further problems....he just has to keep out of the sun.

Yes go, I have had two removed as have all my immediate very moley family! Best to get it checked.

when can you get one to see doctor?

Chocolate1985 · 18/10/2016 20:00

I've been advised to call in each morning to see if an appointment for next week is available Confused

Sounds as bad as our practice!
Personally I would rather get a doctor to check it. I am sure a few days will be fine to wait, but obviously you don't want to wait too long.

Got an appointment with a doctor for next week finally got a sympathetic receptionist
