My mother is 67 and has just had extreme arm pain running from shoulder to hand. It started light and got worse for about 5mins before stopping. During that time she felt like she was going to pass out. But no other symptoms.. Slurred speech face numbness etc.. What could it have been?!
She has been decorating her house recently and thinks it may have just been trapped nerve in arm or muscle pain but i feel shes playing it down now she feels fine

That's definitely worth a trip to the GP. It could be either. Part of the diagnosis for a TIA is that it doesn't have lasting effects. Symptoms like that should be checked out though.

She said she'll ring the dr in the morning for an appointment but totally played it all down after and i felt like she was trying to convince herself it was just a trapped nerve or muscle pain.. But she wasn't actually doing any jobs when it came on.. Just literally walking between rooms.. She shouted for me in panic when it was actually happening though.. Which is not like her so i do think its been something shes not felt before and its worried her. Should i push her to be checked tonight?! Or will morning be ok?!?
Like i say it was just pain in the whole arm.. She said she didnt feel anything in her chest or face or anywhere else. But said the room got echoey as if she was going to faint.

I don't want to worry you but mum had 3 funny episodes over a short space of time, then had a large stroke. Make sure she gets checked out x
