So, dd(14) just came to me all panicky. Just had a bath, washed herself, found a lump down there. On the left lip outside, just smaller than a pea apparently. Hard but not sore. Doesn't want me to look or anything (obviously I understand that). Any ideas as to what it could be? She's quite upset and panicked about it...

Does she shave? Ingrown hair maybe?

marvelousdcomics · 08/10/2016 21:04

I don't think she shaves, I think she trims. Asked her that, said she hasn't done it for ages though so not sure. Thank you though

As pp said if she shaves it could be an ingrown hair?

Or when I was younger I use to sometime get spots ( massive fuckers) down there the week before my period

If she is worried maybe Monday she could try and see a nurse

marvelousdcomics · 08/10/2016 21:09

Hi sparkles, I think she is due on next week, so that might be it...

She doesn't want to see a nurse but if its still there in a few days then will take her anyway.

It just appeared tonight, wasn't there yesterday I don't think

Spot, ingrown hair or bartholyn (sp?) cyst are the most likely explanations.

marvelousdcomics · 08/10/2016 21:16

Thank you eurochick. She's gone t bed now so will ask her again in the morning.

She is quite prone to acne on face and back and chest anyway, so probably that.

Could just be a little spot/cyst. Ive had the odd one and after a week or so they go down.

NameChange30 · 08/10/2016 21:23

It's most probably at Bartholin's cyst. They can be painful but they're harmless.

Probably a bartholin cyst but best to get it checked out.

I have had cysts down there a few times, had a horrible boil last month too.
Is she worried it is cancer? If so reassure her that it is extremely rare to be that at her age.

marvelousdcomics · 09/10/2016 09:02

Thank you everyone

She is worried about cancer actually, but I have reassured her. It isn't painful at all, just there. Will get it checked out if it doesn't go soon
