shooting pains in the ears WTF???!

I've had a head cold for a few weeks and the last four days it's come out into a full stinky cold. I've been producing my own body weight in snot...LURVERLY... and now to top it off I've got shooting pains in one of my ears...WHY oh WHY?! Is it a sign of an ear infection or just another lovely level of this bl**dy cold?

oooh..poor you , have you taken any decongestant, or steamed? might just be all the catarrh and pressure...xx

I took some sinutab at lunch time but maybe it is time for my next dose....OUCH my ears Thanks Lulu
