Did anyone's periods return earlier after their second baby than the first?

I got preg 9 months after having dd with no period and still breastfeeding

DS is 6 months now and still breastfed and we had a split condom last night so just trying to reassure myself that there's very little chance i'm pregnant........right? [panic]

How often are you feeding ds? Are you bf through the night?

Would it be a disaster if you were pregnant?

LaylaandSethsmum · 06/02/2007 15:38

Yes the cahnce is lower as your DS is younger than your DD was but it can and does happen as you know, you can get emergency contraceptive if you need to, it will still be prescribed even though you are bf..

every 2 hours day and night.

not a disaster as such but not sure my body would be ready for another pregnancy and wanted to feed ds til he self weaned.

MAP not an option

If you are feeding that regularly then you will probably be ok, but who knows.. why is the morning after pill not an option? would probably put your mind at ease

belgo · 06/02/2007 15:45

every two hours day and night - it's unlikely your periods have returned, but possible!Mine returned when I was feeding three hourly.

belgo · 06/02/2007 15:46

I can understand the map not being an option btw.

LASM.... not comfortable with possibly ending a pregnancy

hopefully your right belgo..... think dp would burst into tears if i was...... we're barely coping with 2 very small kids!

Technically you wouldn't be ending a pg as it would not have implanted yet, morally , of course, i can see where you're coming from, although I would say if your stance is such then you need some reliable contraception sorting out!!

PinkTulips · 06/02/2007 16:08

don't i know it!
