cough but no cold

Has anyone else's child had a virus where coughing is the only symptom. DD (14) has an intermittent hacking cough but no fever, nose symptoms and otherwise well. Not sure if it could be acid reflux as she is complaining of heartburn since her cough started.

I do. slightly wheezy, tickly cough coming from the chest. No idea why.

Yes! DS is 17 and has had this for two weeks and I am trying to get him to agree to get checked at the GP surgery. (He thinks I'm fussing.) He's also complained of heartburn.

I hadn't even thought of reflux. He had it as a baby.

Might try him on Gaviscon.

oh and stomach pain too, not refluxy, but struggling to eat. Was putting that down to stress, but it's come on at the same time,

Maybe it's some weird virus going around. She always gets hacking coughs with colds but there's no sign of a cold this time.

Maybe vitamin c protocol...read up on suzanne jefferies i think it is. May help? Sodium absorbate or liposomal vit c best.

mine has just turned out to be a cold after all.
