Had my Mirena removed today...what now?!

Its my second and had expired. It's only for heavy periods so no contraception concerns as dh has had a vasectomy.
GP thought I had menopause symptoms about two years ago so I'm curious to see what happens next.
Figure if periods are still horrendous (I'm 47) I could have another put in.

If you get bleeding problems in the peri menopause stage I would get another one as it obviously suits you. If you then want to start HRT at some point you can just add in an estrogen patch or gel.
