Febrile convulsions in older children

Anyone have a child with febrile convulsions past 5 years old. What is the oldest you know of for a febrile convulsion?
Most doctors don't even seem to have heard of them past 5 although there is a history of febrile convulsions in my family long past normal.

My son had his last about a year ago when he was 10 and half. He will be starting senior school in September. Going from a very small church school where they all know him to a big school. He also has nut allergy so I am going to sound like a hypocondriac mum by the time I have seen whoever will be in charge of these things.

My neice had one when she was 11, she had suffered 18 febrile convulsions up until the age of 6 and then had this one out of the blue, she had a temperature over 40 and was quite poorly for a couple of weeks after with a flu like illness. She is 16 now and hasn't had any since (touch wood!!)
