Eyes watering all day in 3 month old

All day today, DD's eyes have been watering - like she is constantly yawning (which she isn't) and looks like she's welling up all day. Have to keep wiping great big tears away. Her eyes don't look puffy and she hasn't been rubbing them more than usual (she often does when trying to get her thumbs/fists into her mouth!).

Am a bit worried as I'm sure I've read to be aware for eye probs in babies but not sure why it might be....

No reason to worry; ring GP tomorrow if still there or NHS direct?

TIA!

Do you have any pets?

Yes, 2 cats (my deepest dread is that it's related) but they don't spend any time near her and it's suddenly come on today

They wouldnt have to go anywhere near her to affect her. Is she too young for piriton?

Oh and doesnt matter if not seen before. I am no expert though.

Ds is cat allergic and one of his symptoms is watering eyes.

eek, hope not. Am hoping it's just down to tiredness (she had awful nightmares yesterday) but will keep an eye on it and see how things are tomorrow
