recommended 2 ltrs of water per day - can this include sparkling water?

Depends on the sodium level,some sparkling waters are very high in sodium.

the one i get says water, carbon dioxide for ingredients. no more nutritional info

Thats all i drink as I dislike flat water so it better count.

yes check the mineral content if it is MINERAL water but alot of sparkling is table water and so has no mineral levels to speak of.

It can also include tea and fruit juice and pretty much any liquid. Not sure about coffee and def not alcohol!
