Flu nasal spray and relative having chemo?

DS is 3 and has been booked in for the flu spray in a few weeks. DP will also be offered a flu vax as he has a lifelong medical condition.

A close relative is having chemotherapy. Is there a chance DS or DP could give her the flu after having the nasal spray or an injection? If so we'll have to rethink the vaccination or stop contact for a while.

Thanks!

Iirc the nasal spray is a live vaccine so could theoretically pass flu on. The adult injection is not.

When my son had his nasal spray last year, we were advised to get the whole family vaccinated to ensure the rest of us didn't catch it. My son was also not allowed to visit his baby brother in icu for 2 weeks afterwards.
