Hi there,
My son has just had an eye test and I have a report here but it is slightly coded.....is there anyone who would understand it around??
It says
CT: cgls N - slight LCS
D - very slight LCS
OM: appears to be grossly full

?????????????????????????????????????

Erm, I'm an optometrist and I can translate some of that now, am still trying to figure out others!
CT = Cover test
LCS + left convergent squint
OM is ocular motility and if it is grossly full, that means normal
Basically all I would interpret from that is that your ds's left eye turns in slightly.Not sure about the cgls N but I'm sure it's something that should be obvious to me!

I think cgls N may be Cover gone from left side Normal which means the right eye is fine.

THANK YOU SO MUCH - your brilliant! I appreciate your time and help as it all gobbledygoop to me!!!
Have just had a thought about the cgls.....could this be covered glasses??? He tested his eyes with glasses on and off!!!

yackertyyack, you could be right about that. The cover test would usually be done both with glasses on and off. Have to say, one of my colleagues abbreviates everything I spend ages puzzling over his files because we don't work on the same days and he's never there to ask!
