I dunno what to do, she is crawling round the sofa clutching her tummy saying it hurts - she was like it this morning, but fine for pre-school and soft play

About to calpol her... any suggestions??

little hot water bottle and a snuggle. if not she must be OK, maybe just wind. Maybe she hurt tummy on soft play, they can be rough play sometimes.

Flamesparrow · 30/01/2007 15:56

Got her snuggled up with a wheat bag

She seems geniune now... dunno what it is! She won't let me leave the room though - and I finally have the enthusiasm to do stuff

Ds had a gastric thing at the start of last week and NHS Direct said it was going around. Could it be stomach cramps from that?

MissGolightly · 30/01/2007 15:58

Has she eaten lots of fruit? That can make little tummies a bit gripey sometimes.

Or like wotz said, maybe wind...?

wotzsaname · 30/01/2007 15:59

could be a bug, so much going arouns, my dd2 was off school today and was sick twice last night. Time of year, when it goes from freeziong cold to mild, them germs just love it.

MerlinsBeard · 30/01/2007 16:01

DS1 been the same the last few days, calpoled him and he was fine...thread about it somewhere around, will go hunt

MerlinsBeard · 30/01/2007 16:03

for what its worth

Havce a press round to see if u can feel anything and to see if she screams in pain

i think your DD and my DS1 are 'joined' somehow lol

Flamesparrow · 30/01/2007 16:07

She's fallen asleep - which is unheard of! She was up with tummy ache in the night. I've had a slight upset stomach but put it down to cattarh (?sp) from my cold... I think it must be a bug.

Not the right place for appendix (even with it moving across).

DS1 exactly the same. apparently u can get swollen glands in your stomach which is what i put it down to

Flamesparrow · 30/01/2007 16:16

I can seeeee you, and yet I cannot seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you

came back from GP about hour ago as my dds temp wouldnt go down and she started to say she had a sore throat. I Shown a tourch in her mouth to check and it looked dangly bits looked swollen, so called GP.

Tonsillitis - GP said "alot of children complain of sore tummy first, before sore throat".

now on antibiotics and paracetamol.

poor lamb i hope yours is better soon.

MerlinsBeard · 30/01/2007 20:28

hope she is better soon at least she has been sick now if thats any consolation??

Flamesparrow · 31/01/2007 09:25

thanks yes temp has gone down, but she hasnt eaten anyhting except her cereal. She was sick twice again last night. didnt make a mess and she settled back to sleep. Throat sore and sore lips. little sips of drink. The antibiotics make her feel sick.
Shes had a nice bath and washed hair and feels better than yesterday, so thanks for asking.
