B12/Pernicious Anemia - increases symptoms between jabs

I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia last December following acute gastritis. I have been having jabs every 3 months, but find my symptoms come back very quickly.

I frequently have pins and needles, but also get muscle spasms that don't go away for hours.

I have mentioned it to my dr previously and asked if there is any consultant I could see, but she was very dismissive. Is it worth trying to see a different doctor?

Tia.

If you have pernicious anaemia you may have other auto-immune conditions that cause similar symptoms it would be worth seeing another doctor to discuss this.

Some people need more frequent injections than every 12 weeks, but anecdotally, I don't believe most GP's know much about it. You may want to see if any of the GP's at your surgery specialise in nutrition? I'm waiting to see mine, as the others are all adamant I have CFS, despite low readings across a number of my blood tests.

I'd also recommend this forum for you if you're not already on it - healthunlocked.com/pasoc
