Smear test

I've been referred to a gynaecologist because I'm getting bleeding between periods and after sex. GP changed my pill from Yasmin to gedarel 30/150 and I'm still bleeding. I have PCOS and they discovered a small fibroid on the outside of my womb during a recent scan.
I've had the referral come through 2 and half months later and the date of the scan is the second day of my pack of pills. Will this be ok, I've got a vague recollection from my last smear 2.5 years ago that it should be in the middle of your cycle.

I think they can do it at any time of your cycle now.

It's to do with the way they can wash and treat the cells they take during your smear test. All modern and everything

Don't worry - if they needed it to be at a certain time during your cycle they would have let you know. Good luck
