Bad reactions to first MMR jab

My DS had his first MMr jab last Tuesday, over the weekend he has been very clingy and last night had a fever and red marks all over his nappy area. All I thought in line with possible reactions to the jab.

Have just had call from nursery to say that his feet and legs are covered in spots, like chicken pox spots but without head and not pussy. Is this MMR as well or something else. (He's had chicken pox)

Help please, trying to get through to doctors now but little luck so thought I would come to the ever helpful MN.

If you can?t get through to the doctors in the next half hour, I would phone NHS Direct for advice. Don?t think there is any medical emergency but I would want peace of mind and I reckon that talking to a professional with up to date facts will be the only way you will feel really happy. Hope it sorts itself out really fast.

Thanks yorkis girl, I thought it was this rash that they warn you about, but nursery were definitely "this is not a rash" or a reaction we have seen after MMR before.

Supposed to be going away on Thursday to Cannes for a kid free weekend - my boy knows how to time things. Cancelled weeks hol in Eygpt for chicken pox!!

My daughter had a mild dose of measles after her MMR - about a week/10 days later. Think it's a nomal reaction.

Thought I would update and say thank you for your replies. Just been to the doctors - he's got hand foot and mouth combined with mild case of measles!! Argh!!!
